KO’SIN

The kitchen is often the central gathering spot in many Native American homes. The same is true at Ko’Sin, which means kitchen in the Pima language, at Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass.

Ko’Sin, another of the exclusive Wild Horse Pass restaurants, is a place to dine well with friends and family in a relaxed atmosphere. Ko’Sin is Kai’s casual counterpart specializing in bistro cuisine with a special emphasis on local Native American ingredients.

The Menu

Prepared by Executive Chef Thomas Riordan, the menu at Ko’Sin features a wide range of classic bistro selections with special Native American influences. Starters include elevated comfort food classics, like the Wild Horse Mac & Cheese with an aged cheddar cheese sauce and crunchy cracker crust, or innovative plates like citrus-poached shrimp served with fresh watercress and a savory horseradish lemon aioli. For a special treat, try the local Crow’s Dairy goat cheese fondue with mushrooms, herb flatbread, and pecorino.

Salads at Ko’Sin are loaded with fresh, high-quality, local ingredients. The Pumpkin Apple Salad, a seasonal offering, is made up of spinach, candied pumpkin seeds, pancetta, cranberries, Crow’s Dairy feta, Willcox apples, and kabocha pumpkin, all tossed in a tangy apple cider vinaigrette.

Main dishes at Ko’Sin emphasize local ingredients and explore bold flavors. The bacon-wrapped buffalo meatloaf is a fan favorite—this twist on a classic features whipped potatoes, heirloom carrots, and sweet peas, with the meatloaf topped with a special chipotle-ketchup glaze. Another top choice is the menu’s sizable chicken pot pie, chock-full of roasted chicken, root vegetables, and cream gravy all enclosed in a puff pastry crust.

The menu also includes steak, like the grilled filet, served with baked potato casserole, roasted Brussels sprouts, maitre’d butter, and steak sauce; and fish, like the roasted striped bass with harvest vegetables, mushroom ragout, and a tangy almond gremolata.

The Setting

Ko’Sin, located within Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass, includes an elegant dining room tastefully decorated in desert patterns and adorned with local native art.

As you arrive, an arrestingly authentic mural welcomes you. Modern touches throughout, including warm ambient lighting and natural wood accents, make Ko’Sin feel like a cozy escape from the busy world outside. The dining room windows frame views of the desert just outside and the Sierra Estrella Mountains. Ko’Sin also includes an intimate outdoor flagstone patio that overlooks a lush desert landscape, perfect for any of the more than 300 days of sun Arizona enjoys every year.

Additionally, if you’re in need of a private space for a special event, Ko’Sin offers a few different venues to meet your needs. The Gila Room seats 14-20 guests, the Center Room seats 20-30 guests, and the Mesa Room is more intimate at 8-10 guests.
